MACSUR Science Conference 2017, 22–24 May 2017, Berlin
The conference has received more than 80 abstracts for oral and poster presentations from MACSUR members and other experts working in the field - some from as far as Korea. So you can expect a rich display of cutting-edge research and stimuli for discussions. Come and join. Early-bird registration ends 15 March.
Open Data Journal for Agricultural Research — successful first year
The Open Data Journal for Agricultural Research started three years ago as a community initiative of MACSUR, AgMIP, Global Yield Gap Atlas and ILSI CIMSANS and serves the goals of the Global Open Data Network of Agriculture and Nutrition. The journal really came to live in 2016, when 10 data submissions were done. ODJAR now has 4 accepted papers, of which 2 in the last months, and another 8 under review. One of these data sets is a set of input data used for MACSUR exercises, while another is from the MACSUR scaling exercises.
EEA's climate change indicator report with MACSUR contributions
Today, the European Environmental Agency (EEA) releases the latest climate change indicator report "Climate change, impacts and vulnerability in Europe 2016". It contains significant contributions by MACSUR authors and highlights MACSUR case studies. This is one example of how our research reaches stakeholders.
   MACSUR proposal for 2017–2020
The MACSUR coordinators submitted a 9-page proposal to the FACCE Governing Board, "Agriculture under Climate Change across Regions in Europe Towards 2050". The proposal addresses research needs identified in several FACCE countries. On 2 March 2017 the FACCE governing board meets and could recommend the proposal for evaluation or request further details.
MACSUR Workshop for policymakers 2017: date moved
The workshop had to be moved to 11 May 2017.
  New MACSUR web resources
You can now find collections of our science picks (Output)policy briefs (Output), and newsletters (About) on our web site.
    New MACSUR publications
